Default New Schwarzbeiner looking for others!

Hi all: I am new to Schwarzbein and also to this forum. Wanted to say hello and hope I can be part of continued online support on forums. I was on Weight WAtchers Core plan for about 5 weeks, and liked it, but thought that Schwarzbein might better address my needs, and I like the concept of controlling insulin levels. However, WW has excellent online support and especially good (free) bulletin boards. Wish Schwarzbein had similar support to make it easier for us! Any former WWers here? I am definitely NOT thrilled with the prospect of waiting up to several months to see weight loss. This is a downside for me. Anybody have thoughts on that one? Plus, when I signed in I was forced to include my starting and current weights. Since I like to judge my progress by how clothes fit and how I feel overall, I have not been weighing myself, so I put in approximate numbers. Look forward to hearing from others out there!

i was doing WW before the SP. i got tired of figuring out the points to everything. I haven't been doing SP for very long, infact, i did it for about 2 weeks and then got a cold and went back to eating like crap for 2 weeks and back on it strong since this monday. i lost about 8lbs in those 1st two weeks and i felt great. none of that crappy feeling that atkins people talk about. i don't know about you, but i would rather feel good during the whole process and lose it a little slower. its good to see another SP person show up here!

Hello

I am doing Schwarzbein also. Did it years ago and had great success. I did PP and Atkins but had a very bad reaction to Atkins so have decided to go back on TSP. I have burnt out adrenal glands with insulin resistance. Therefore I imagine I will be very slow to heal but I know I have to look after myself and nourish my body no matter what it takes.

I'm also following SP. It really settles out my blood sugar, cholesterol, weight, emotions, etc.

Good to see you post here!
Ann
