Default Why is my skin softer??

I've been following a reduced fat Atkins diet since January and have noticed that my skin is much softer than it's been since I was very young. I'm not talking about a little bit softer, it's a lot softer. Almost like a baby. I do eat 3 or 4 eggs everyday and non low fat blue cheese dressings on my veggys. I also only eat lean meats and drink a little whole milk. Prior to Atkins, I seldom ate eggs or anything that was not reduced or fat free.

Is it the fat that I'm consuming or is it the low carb that's made my skin so soft.

Please let me know if you have an answer.

Thanks.

Bill

Hi William

I don't know why your skin is softer, but I know my complexion has cleared up a little, too. Maybe you're finally getting vitamin E in sufficient quantities for your skin...?

M

PS I hope you use that "I have softer skin" line as a pick-up line!!

I get really nasty skin when I try low fat. Probably extra protein doesn't hurt, either.

Are you drinking more water? I think this is what has caused it for me. My elbows have never been softer.

I think it's the fat. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, so chances are, you were somewhat deficient before.
