Default Back here with my tail in between my legs

Hi everyone,

I used to be very active on this forum and then school got in the way. Now I graduated from school and currently working with a great company

I put on ten pounds from stress and insomnia, which caused me to make some poor food choices.

Sorry mods for not posting this on the "introductions" part of the forum-- I just feel like I've introduced myself back here way too many times.

I'm looking to interact with any seasoned low-carbers/keto-ers. I do keto myself, and I could really use some support from any other women who have been doing it for a long time. I'm also wondering if there's anyone out there doing barbell training with heavy weights (squat, deadlift, overhead press)? Starting Strength and Stronglifts 5x5 both look like great beginner programs.

I got a DEXA scan just recently and my body fat percentage is 27%. Because I'm doing resistance training along with trying to go back to strict keto, I can't really rely on the scale right now -- I mainly need to go off of measurements, before and after pics, and a progress DEXA scan.

Thanks for reading :-)

Hello Brigitta! Welcome back!

If you come back you are not a failure

I've been recovering from a severe illness and finally getting back to keto. And loving it!

I'm also doing niacin therapy.

Not well enough to really exercise, but I have been getting out more for walks and such. Glad to see you.

Briggita,

Glad to see you back. I've been LCHF now for 10 months. This is me now not just a diet. A WOE is a learning journey with lots of twists, turns, roadblocks and sometimes dead ends. Just turn yourself around, like you did by coming back, and try again.

I remember you
Congrats on graduating no the new job!

I do some of my training with barbells, but also like sandbags, medicine balls, resistance tubes, Olympic bars, etc...I wouldn't say I have been doing heavy lifting for a few years now, after a very long, very serious illness. But I am back to training and hoping to start increasing the weights quite a bit this year.

Welcome back!
