Plan: My own - < 30 net carbs
Stats: 440/228/210 Male 5' 11"
BF:Energy Unleashed
Progress: 92%
Location: Central Virginia - USA
Default Day 48 of 90

The mission: Deep ketogenic eating everyday
The rules: Eat less than 20 net carbs per day and less than 15 net carbs at any one meal.
Other parameters: I will give myself up to 5 passes/exceptions throughout the 90 day period, but they cannot be used on consecutive days. These are not free-for-all days, but an allowance to take into account that perfection is not required.

Passes used: 4

Yesterday: 1 net carb. I didn't track my food over the weekend. The meals I prepared for the family were more complicated concoctions of meat, fat, and veggies and I didn't have the time to enter a custom recipe in MY PLAN. I estimated that I stayed under 20 net carbs on Saturday, but exceeded that limit on Sunday. One more pass used. I'm still in keto mode, though. No hiccup with the scale. Started IF yesterday.

Cool Your Ideas Are Intriguing, I Wish To Subscribe To Your Newsletter

Hi folks. I would like to join. I've checked out the thread a few times; congrats on everyone's successes, large and small.

I've felt completely zapped of what I guess you could call emotional energy with respect to diet and fitness for a last few years. I guess I'm just trying to get into a groove where LC eating makes me remotely happy and enthusiastic again.

That's my main goal for the next 90 days. I'm breaking it down into a few daily tasks that should help my mind get back where it should be:

1. Daily yoga or similar activity. Even ten minutes is fine... it's better than nothing. That's been one of my killers when it comes to activity: the "I don't have time" mentality. It's finally sunken in that I don't have to dress in a leotard and spend 45 minutes on it. 'Some' is always better than 'none!'
2. Join the Daily Weigh-In thread. I'll probably take a few mulligans on this one. I don't really consider it that necessary, and I know I'm going to forget here and there. I have no weight goal; simply trying to get back into the habit of observation.
3. Remember my supplements. I really think this one has taken a toll on my mental outlook over the last few months.
4. No carbage treats, and starchier vegetables with dinner only, if at all. Stay as close to ketogenic as possible. I'm going to blatantly plagiarize Ken and set myself 5 free passes on this one.

I may alter/clarify some of these goals.

20 min spent working on creative writing....I know it doesn't seem like a lot but anybody who knows the creative process will know it's harder than it looks It either flows.... or it doesn't

Welcome Kristine! I've always liked these 90 day challenge threads. I think it does help to have goals beyond weight loss. Self-improvement is always a good thing. I wish you the best in reaching your goals and getting your LC groove back.

Good morning. First 2 days in the books. I fell asleep before I checked in last night.

Start: Jan 30
End: Apr 30

1. Yoga: done (both days)
2. Weigh-in: done (both days)
3. Supplements: I missed my Mg at night last night
4. Eating: on plan (both days)

Thanks for the welcome, Ken!
Jean, I have the opposite problem of your #4 - I have a hard time staying up past 10:00.

Hi Kristine! Exactly. I am setting a realistic goal of 15 min (tough on a really busy day) but then I do more if I am on a roll... some IS better than none.

goal: 15 min of creative writing, research or extracting writing from journal notes 5 days a week for my project/s.
45 min spent on writing and editing this AM. Something I love about this process - at least for me - the characters do start to have a life of their own...and things start moving. I was walking at the Cemetery this AM and found the given name of a character who only had a nickname so far...

I meant to do some last night but the day/night got away from me - I do not remember to do this! NOTE TO SELF...I am on this thread!

40 min spent editing and researching this AM.

Kristine: for what it's worth - I used to have trouble remembering to take my vitamins/supplements too - so I put all bottles in a basket where I will see it daily..., and put all AM supps in a little bowl and set it on the table so I see it in the AM. After I take those, I do the same for nighttime supps. The little glass bowl always has the next group of supps - if it's empty, I need to fill it! That way I don't have all the bottles all over the counter...

If I may join in.....

My weakness is pizza. From the box. From the pizzaria. Or homemade.

My 90 day challenge: Only LC sanctioned pizza, no other.
Goof ups allowed: 3, but not more than 2 pcs.
