This is just a note to introduce myself and say hello.

I've been low-carbing for a couple of weeks now, and am really excited about the results so far. I've been following Protein Power to the letter, but will probably buy a few of the other low carb books out there to get a bigger picture of low carb eating.

Cool New here too

Hi everyone. I'm a new low-carb loser to this forum. I have been successful in the past on this program, slipped and am now back on with success. My only problem is snacking - love crunchy things - celery doesn't cut it anymore. Any suggestions. Thanks. Lara

Welcome to the board losergirl and Lara!

Lara, have you tried pork rinds for crunchy things?

Smile losergirl & Lara .. welcome aboard

Hello to you both!

Lara, about crunchy snacks, Sharon posted a quick recipe for "cheese chips" you make in the microwave. Click here to read it.

Great to hear about the success you've both had, keep up the good work. I look forward to reading more posts from you both!..

Default crunchy snacks

Welcome to the board. You'll get lots of support here!

My favorite snack is to microwave some low carb slices of salami or pepporoni on a paper towel in the microwave. They turn into little hard chips...great for making "nachos" out of as well.

Thanks for the ideas on snacks. The cheese chips sound great and I'll try them right away. I didn't expect such quick replies. This is a great forum!! Cheers, Lara.
