Default What supplements/vitamins do you use?

Hi everyone... newbie here!

I have just finished reading SPI and am starting to read SPII and trying to put together a plan. I'm doing Atkins now but need more variety and carbs, and this is more my speed.

In SPII, she's got a long list of supplements that she recommends for various things. Seems I could use just about all of them.

I thought I would ask you SP veterns what you are taking as far as vitamins and supplements, and what you were taking when on plan?

Hey,
Welcome to the SP plan. By the way...I love it!! I started off with a good all around multivitamin and minerals. Beyond that I take other suplements depending on my current level of stress at work, or what time of month it is. I've had a doctor help me with the appropriate vitamins past the all around one. So my advice would be to start with a good all around vitamin.

Thanks for the reply, ArticCat.

I already do a multi and calcium/magnesium and fish oil. My protein intake is (was) very low so I was thinking of adding some amino acids now that I am eating more protein. Also considering CLA supplements and chromium, but don't want to overdo it.

I used to pay $60 a bottle for
Amino acid supplements too,
but I wised up. My whey protein
powder has all the stuff ADDED
in that I need. I am now spending
my $60 on ME instead of Aminos.

I also take 2 super mult-senior vitamin
and mineral tablets a day, two calcium/mag
tablets, and a CQ-10 (100 mg) Oh, and
since I have a hip that is mended but once
broken with 3 pins in it, I take a Glucosamine/
Condrotin tablet everyday too.

I use the supplements that come from the Women to Women website. I ordered the Personal Program based on my symptoms and they sent me the supplements, prog. creme and the book. Just started March 16. I'm doing this because for 10 years, about 3-4 years after my second and last child ( I have 2 boys), I've had anxiety/depression problems especially around my period and am on Prozac ever since. I've tried going off twice, most recently from Sept 05 to Feb 06. The sypmptoms came back only this time with backache, acne, and tearful days. I think I may be experiencing perimenopause along with PMS now that I'm going on 47. I always thought all this was due to hormone fluctuations/imbalances so I'm giving this program a try. Plus my internist is after me to lose weight especially since for the last 2 years I developed high blood pressure (which runs in my parents) and am now on Lotensin.

I was going to use the supplements from the Women to Women website but then I realized that I can get the same ones from Arbonne (I am also a wholesaler) for cheaper and also get the progesterone from Arbonne. I called and talked to a lady at Women to Women and she was a bit pushy. I told her I sell Arbonne and that I already have the progesterone and she said, "I know what you take and ours is better." But she couldn't tell me why exactly. The arbonne progesterone is in a sealed, metered pump so you get exactly they same dosage each time and the fact that it is sealed and not in a jar means it retains it's potency longer and will not get any contamination. I am going to start with the supplements and progesterone next week so I will let you all know if I see a change
