Default Immigrating to New Zealand....How is the low Carb food?

My husband and I are looking into immigrating from the US to New Zealand. While it is several years down the road (as we can tell it takes awhile to get aproved to get in) we wondered how are the low carb products down there? We're doing research right now, but it's hard to find webpages that gives us daily life info.

thanks!

Thumbs up low carb food in N.Z.

Thought someone would have replied to you by now!sorry!!
two sites for you to 'google' Lowcarb.net.nz and lowcarbnz.
We can purchase da vinchi syrups , splenda, almond flour , wheat gluten etc,
a variety of carb control bars and some of the atkins range in selected supermarkets..everything else that you might be thinking of can probably be ordered on line, or will be in the shops in a few years time!!
Of course, we do have fabulous meat, fish, poultry and dairy products and plenty of fresh fruit, veges and nuts which is what i'm sure you'd be mainly eating right!!!
Good luck with your application process.!

Thanks! It's going to be a few years before we're ready. Right now I'm just devouring the information! We are so excited, but nervous! Thank you for a response!

Hi
NZ is great for fresh produce but doesn't have franken foods in the supermarkets. www.lowcarb.net.nz is the best place to get low carb products. I have been using them for months and they don't contain sugar alcohols.
I emmigrated to NZ a couple of years ago and I am not planning on leaving.
Good luck.
