Talking New Comer - and some ideas to share

Hi all

I have been following Atkins for one month now and have dropped a clothing size which I am very happy about.

Here are two ideas that have really helped when I have been very busy or travelling (or hungover - LOL):

- Eat breakfast at McDonalds but ask for a big breakfast without the hash brown or muffin and ask them to add an additional egg and slice of sausage. I have had no problems with this at McD's in VIC, NSW and QLD.

- For a tasty lunch take 3 fresh eggs in your lunch box with whatever is in your fridge (left over roast, smoked salmon, capsicum, spinach etc) and a little grated cheese. Mix it all up at lunch time and pop in the microwave for 2-3 mins and you get a delicous filling omelette for lunch.

Thanks for everyone's ideas to date they have been very helpful

Well I'll be.. I never new you could do that at McDonalds.. I have been buying bacon and egg McMuffins and letting the kids eat the muffins.. and really it isn't very satisfying..

Will try that next time..

Thanks for the tip

Karen
