Default Thanks

I just wanted to hi today and Thanks for such a great welcome yesterday Its been a little over 48 hours now for me and right now I have such a craving for something sweet. I have been "quinching" it with my diet soda, but considering that I'm trying to limit that also its not helping to much. Other than that. Not feeling really hungry. I feel kind of shaky and jittery right now though. LOL sugar withdrawal probably I'm sure i had a lot of it in my system.

That feeling of being "different" is normal when you start LC. Your body is getting rid of the carbs (and craving more of them) Make sure you're drinking LOTs of water (64oz a day at the very least) and eat .. eat .. eat. A protein snack will help with the sweet cravings.

Are you taking any supplements? Here's a thread all about it. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...&threadid=16014 Under tips, stalls and plateaus you'll find some valuable help.

Keep up the good work!

Hi Nat. Thanks for all the great tips you have given me so far

Yeah, it's strange because I can definitaly feel something going on within my body. It's a very strange feeling. Not one that I'm sure I like that well so hopefully it will not last that long.

As for suppliments. Yes, I have these big horse pills by American Health called "More than a Multiple" have antioxidants then some "herbal" things like echinacea on top of the vitamins and as the book suggested I also just have extra plain ol' vitamin C to get all that extra that Atkins recommends. (even though I have heard in the past that it is possible to get to much.. which I wonder about)

Default calcium and magnesium

Sounds good, Candi. Make sure you're getting your calcium and magnesium (preferably the two in one pill), It will help with the fatigue you often feel when starting a LC WOL. It also helps with the onset of leg cramps which are quite common. Take a peak at the link I posted, Doreen explains it so much better!

Default Hang on in there

These symptoms will not last long. Hang on and soon your body will realise it's no good throwing a tantrum !! That's when you get the controls back and everything gets better and better.

The more water you drink the better it is. Eat (Protein only of course) whenever you need to.
Take care
