Angry I am a slave to the scale

I exercise all the time but since I started Atkins I have been exercising less because I seem to gain more weight. I love body pump it is a great way to tone with out getting to bulky, but since I have put on 1-3lbs I have stoped and have picked up more cardio. Also my energy level has gone way down I can not seem do do a full hour of cardio like I was in the past (pre Atkins). Is there anything I can ingest before a long cardio session with out calling it quits 45min into it?

Hi P8STX, Welcome to the forum. I see you've been doing Atkins since July. Are you taking a multi vitamine and supplements? They help with fatigue. It could be that you're not eating enough. Maybe you could post a few examples of your meals under "Journal / bootcamp" for us to look over.

I returned to exercise a week after I began LC; it took me another good week to get back to the same point I was prior to this WOE. I think the supplements helped (especially the magnesium and calcium)

Cheers,
Nat

Default IMHO

Hi P8STX,

IMHO, 45 minutes is more than respectable for an aerobic workout. Don't be too hard on yourself. I agree that you should take supplements, although I doubt that they're the be-all-and-end-all when it comes to exercise. When I first started low-carbing I had a harder time working out, but now I don't notice any problems at all (been at it since June 24). I do aerobic exercise from 45-60 minutes, NOT every day. You shouldn't be starving yourself, though, just be sure of that. Hopefully your energy will return soon.

Good luck, and cheers!

Thanks for the encouragement
I try to take a multi vit a day but I just seem to forget. They are so darn big. Do you think that L-glutamine will help with sugar cravings?
