Smile Let's Take Advantage of the Summer Weather Challenge

Hello fellow Low carbers! I thought it would be fun to start up a summer exercise challenge. The days are growing longer and the temperature is rising! It's time to get outside and take advantage of the beautiful weather. Whether it be walking, swimming, hiking, or anything else, this challenge will strive to get our bodies MOVING!

The challenge will officially begin Friday, June 4th, and will run until August 4th. Weigh-in days will be every Friday. Feel free to post your daily menu and/or carb intake.

Post your weekly exercise goals when you weigh in.

Please be kind and supportive of each other. Don't put yourself down. It's okay to mess up once in a while, but thinking negative thoughts about yourself won't help you.

I am in on this. I just started daily lunch time walking/running this week. 1.4 to 2 miles a day. Not sure if I will do it everyday, but I hope to be pretty consistent. Never been part of a challenge before, so you have to fill me in!

Welcome Annette! Thanks for joining.

Well today is officially the beginning of the challenge. (People can join in at any time though, of course).

My start weight is 157 and today I have done nothing as far as moderate exercise goes. I hope to walk a mile or so and do a new workout tape that I picked up yesturday.

We'll see what happens. It's hard to get myself outside and going, but once I do, I enjoy it.

Okay, today I:

Mowed the lawn for 15 minutes (with a pushmower)
Did 20 minutes of Taebow workout tape.

Hopefully I can get a little more in tomarrow, although I feel pretty tired and did work up a nice sweat today.

Ohhhhh ok! I'm in for this one!

Today I hiked up and down some very steep trails to get to and from my fishing hole at the river! Ouch my butt! Was like 20 min of step aerobics!

Hi Emeraulde. Thanks for joining.

I was thinking about going hiking more. We have a beautiful mountain range only an hour from my house. It would be nice to take a few day trips and hike up a trail. Not to mention, it is GREAT exercise for the butt, which I am focusing on slimming right now.

I haven't done much today yet. I think I will eat a little lunch, and then maybe go for a walk. I want to do some of my new Taebo tape as well and ride my stationary bike.

I was thinking about getting a summer membership at the gym. It's only 20$ for the whole summer.
