Homemade FLAX oil dressing?

Kraft and other companies make a packet of Italian dressing (powder) that you just add oil and vinegar to. Could I just substitute the canola or veggie oil with flax? This seems like a great way to get the flax and get your fat count up if needed. Any problem with this? Would I need to use an opague bottle?
