Default Oops

Over the past month, I've been given many small cookies and sweets at work. It's a part of Japanese culture. But I haven't been eating them, I've been stuffing them in my desk and giving them away to coworkers.

But today, the vice principal handed me a cookie as I was walking out the door.

And when I got home, I ate it.

But I'm back at it - I'm going to continue not eating what I've been given. Eeeee.

So would it be regarded as rude or offensive it you refused? I know I really have to have a constant mantra, bottle of water on hand and walk away at work, because there is always doughnuts muffins cookies, even the fruit is all high carb, bananas oranges grapes....it's hard to resist, we can only try our best but if we slip, we just get right back up
