Nice work. I'm enjoying my TKD although I differ from you in that I intake carbs pre and post workout.

I do dextrose strictly pre workout and then dextrose/sucrose/other starches post. I mix skim milk with my whey protein, and the lactose isn't optimal in that some goes to liver and some to muscle (not sure about that exactly)

Basically, I want to enjoy a carb meal post workout and will tolerate a slower fat loss if it means a couple cheat meals a week.

Well I am just floored! Dropped another pound today!
228.2 I am really moving now. The TKD seems to be really helping in the fat loss department.
I think I have finally broken the 232 pound set point I have been fighting for 2 months now.

That's awesome, I think TKD is probably best for fat loss. I got stuck at 247, now again at 239. I might try a long refeed here soon.

227.8 on the scale today. I did not do the dextrose last night pre workout. Had a killer leg night, squats last set was 6 reps at 305#. Starting to get the weight up on the squats now.
we'll see what happens. I have been doing 1 carb up NHE style on Saturday night, with no TKD type carb pre lifting. I seem to be dropping with this plan so far. Lifts staying strong but not gaining. I think that is ok for cutting?
Any input on one carb up (last 2 meals, clean low GI NHE style)

Kewl on the new weighloss Jeff!

I know how frustrating it can be to stop losing when you're still dieting your a*% off, and how great it is when it starts going again. Don't worry, you keep working at it like you're been and it's definitely just going to keep getting better!

Yep It is a darn rollercoaster of emotions you get really high when the scale or measurements are going the right way. And it is a b*&^% when you stagnate.

Any I am on the top latley!

patience patience patience

Hiya Liftnlady,
It seems to be working but its tough. Basically I am <20 g carbs per day. I keep calories 10-15% below maintenance.
I do 1 carb up Saturday night using NHE (BB) rules.
I find the lack of carbs is affecting my physical ability on workout days and I have been feeling whipped.
I also cut off all stims on Sunday night. I have been lying down to sleep and not gettin there! I am trying to drop the stims for a while and see if I can get some sleep. Gotta ... have.... sleep......

dropping the stims is good idea, with the lack of carbs your seratonin levels are probably low...you can try supplementing with seratonin to help you sleep.

ahh the body chemistry experiment isn't it grand....I know how tough the lack of carbs can be, but keep up the good work.
