Hi, I'm just curious if anyone else has had a sudden intolerance to eggs. I've been eating them about 4-5 times a week since starting CALP in June and all of a sudden I have terrible cramps about 15 minutes after eating scrambled eggs and I'm really sick for 4-5 hours. Obviously, I've cut them out of my diet completely now..though boiled eggs are fine...I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

Hi, I am actually a Atkins person thinking of converting to CAD....I too have developed an intolerance to eggs. I was eating deviled eggs or hard boiled eggs like you 4 or 5 times a week for several months and suddenly before I can even finish one my stomach is upset and like you it last for hours. I can however still eat my 3 cheese omlettes with no problem. It must be the cheese coating my stomach. I use chedder swiss and creamcheese with a little onion and garlic. I have a question about CAD, Does it count NET carbs or straight carbs?

I read the book a long time ago. If I remember correctly you still count the carbs for two of the three meals a day don't you. With no snacks in between and then you get a reward meal once a day where you can eat anything you want for an hour. Right?
After eating a ton of eggs, I became intolerant, but have been able to add them back. I can eat 2-3 eggs every other day without a problem, but not every day like I used to.
Very interesting Deidra, hopefully I will be able to eat them again...I really love them.
How long did it take for you to be able to eat them again?
