Is it this?

I just googled it, and it looks like it's a Mexican product. Canned cream, nifty. Handy for camping and blackouts!

It's a little lighter than what you buy in a carton, though. It's only 4 g fat in a Tbsp compared to 6 in the regular liquid. (ETA) And to compare it further, it's heavier than the 18% cream often used here in Canada (including every Tim Horton's.)

The label says "perfect for sweet and savoury dishes", so I can see it typically being used in cream sauces and what not.

I bought a can to use in a recipe, but I've not gotten around to making it. According to the label, it's not zero carbs - it has 1g carb per tablespoon.

Added - I doubt it can be whipped, but don't know for sure.

Well 'media' means 'medium' so I would not be surprised that it would be somewhere between light cream and heavy cream, as far as fat/carb content/ratios.

I have kept cans of media crema around my house for 6-7 years or more now. Yeah it's carbier than regular cream but it tastes great, keep the can in the fridge until you open and and the crema is really THICK when you open it. I love the taste and tbsp goes a long way for yumminess in a cup of coffee. If I make chocolate/coconut "fat bombs" I'll usually add a tbsp or two of crema and it really amps up the taste for me. I have never tried to whip it and doubt it would work - but who knows? Maybe I'll have to experiment as I have multiple cans in the house right now as always.
