Default Fat Fast Breakthrough! :0)

Hi everyone,

I have been ganing weight steadily on low carb for the past year so switched to low fat....gained more weight. Was litterally at the end of my tether...then I tried the Fat Fast. I have done this for about 3 days in the past before 'but' this time watched every mouthful I ate and followed it to the letter. And 5 days later I am 6 POUNDS LIGHTER!!!!!!! From struggling for so long I feel like I am starting to find my way again...

When I lost tons of weight (over 5 years ago) now low carbing, I gained it all back again going low fat. Then when I tried to low carb again...its didn't seem to work anymore. This seems to have given me the kick I needed...am so happy for the first time in ages....

I am now keeping the carbs as low as possible (less than 5), and have increased my protein in take slightly, but still keeping the fat high for the next week. See what that does.

I have experienced some mouth sores while doing this (but) that may be due to eating pork rinds, as man they are tough to eat! So hard! But thats the only side effect, apart from the first day my legs felt very heavy, but now I feel fine.

Just feel like I have really been given a new chance low carbing, and the weight loss for 5 days is wonderful. Just thought I would let others know that are experiencing stalls and hard times...that you can do it....I 'never' thought I would get back on track......

Becs101,

Thanks for posting because, I lost quite a lot of weight as well on atkins a while back, went off it then gained all of it back again and some more.

Two weeks ago I went back to doing atkins and could only lose 5 lbs in two weeks and it was hell, because i more or less reduced my calories a lot to loose the 5 lbs.

Please could you post your menu for the fat fast and the particular brand of pork rinds you were eating.

I am at the end of my tether, because within two days of normal eating, I have gained the 5 lbs I lost.

thanks

Hi both,

I have used a couple of brands of Pork Rinds, one called Mr Porkys and one just called Pork Crunch. Both quite nice...

A typical day for the 5 days went like this:

Breakfast - portion of cream cheese and about 4 pork rinds (totalling 200cals) as you have to watch calories on this diet as well - 1000cals .
Snack - Ounce of Macadamia nuts
Lunch - Pork rinds - 200 cals
Snack - Portion of Brie - 200 cals
Dinner - Portion pf pate - 200 cals

There are lots of versions of the Fat Fast but just found that these foods really filled me up and kept the hunger at bay. Its not easy but it really does kick start your diet.

Now this week I have upted the calories to 1200 per day, and added a little extra protein.

Its worked for me....and worth giving it a go if you're stuck. Best of luck....I am wondering if I will loose again this week....so will let you all know.

x
