It is a new year and time for a change, going to get back to the "old" me.

I've done Atkins before and had great success, lost 87lbs in 96-97 after having my daughter. Maintained my weight fairly well until late 2012, I moved & went on extended leave from work to care for my mother full time. She was given 6-10 months to live and she made it another 3 years. It was a long, stressful road and I turned to food as comfort during that time. Just over a year ago I decided it was time to go back to Florida and get on with my life. Bought a fixer upper and spent many months remodeling the whole house, which did help me shed a few pounds, but not as many as I'd have liked.

So I decided for my NYE resolution to recommit to Atkins and getting back to the healthy weight and mindset that I desire. I'm looking forward to shedding 151lbs, it will be hard work, but well worth it.

Welcome Bisq
You have found a great forum to help you re-dedicate to a Low Carb Lifestyle. Look around all the many sub-forums to find the information and the support that will help you the most. There is a good stickie at the top of Newbie Questions>> which also helps any returning members, and a good summary of Atkins Induction in the stickie on Atkins forum. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=236482 Consider staying at induction level until you are solidly back on track. There are Buddy groups for daily support, a triple digits club, or start your own journal...whatever support works best for you. All the best,
