I'm 3 months into the Atkins program. It's been the best thing I've done. After years of dieting, this is simple and really works for me, without seeming like just another diet. This is my new "normal". I don't have cravings anymore. It's just a relief! I really can't believe I've lost 20# in 3 months! 25 more to go!

Welcome
It is so much simplier than trying to measure calories in and out, which as study after study shows, doesn't work in the LT anyway. You have found a great forum for information and support, congratulations on your success.
All the best,

Welcome aboard. It's great, isn't it? (Munches bacon)

Besides the good food and relief from starving/obsessing, I had all kinds of little health problems clear up, and overall improved mental and physical health. If staying thin without suffering wasn't motivation enough to eat LC for the long haul, that sure is.

I usually dread my annual check up. I'll be due in Feb/Mar sometime, and am actually looking forward to it this time! Not only because of the weight loss, but I want to see how this affects my numbers....thyroid, cholesterol blood pressure, etc. I just feel and look so much better already, I'm hoping the numbers show a healthy improvement also.
