Default Share costco favorites?

Seems that we do most of our shopping at costco and I've found some pretty good things that work well maybe there is other items people like that they could share??

Here's what I typically pick up:

Liguria Foods Pepperoni – one bag in the fridge..one in the freezer
Kirkland frozen chicken tenders
Kirkland frozen ground beef
Kirkland Sirloin frozen patties
Amy Lui (I think that’s the brand) fresh chicken patties with red pepper & cheese. These are GREAT and only 2 carbs! Love them for a fast dinner solution.
Foster Farms hot n spicy wings
Single serve Cheese sticks

when i shop in the states (bellingham, wa), i get the kirkland pulled pork... SO good. pre-cooked just make your own LC sauce, which i love to do!

i eat it by the bowl! and get buns for the bf, and it is a delicious meal! i don't even miss the buns, because it is sooooo good!

forgot to add: love the idea of this thread, cause i love to shop at costco (in canada and the states) and having a list of legal LC products for my shopping trip sounds great and so easy!

great thread idea, blackstone!

They have pre cooked bacon. I don't remember if it is hormel or thier own brand. It is awesome. It is about $10 but there is tons of bacon in there and you can throw it in the fry pan when you make your eggs, or cook it for about a minute in the microwave and use it for your omlets etc. I highly recommend this product.

chaos2010 - Thanks so much about the pulled pork! I saw this at costco the other day. Just didn't look at the back, I assumed it was in a sauce so ignored it. Sounds great! Would you share how you make your LC sauce? I'm glad this thread is helpful for you. I was hoping the same and so far, I've gotten 3 really great ideas.

Kbird - thanks very much. I love the precooked bacon. So easy when you're in a hurry. Thanks!

I buy the pork as well. It is packaged as Carnitas and it is a very large portion of pork roast that is really very veristile. We mix it with taco seasoning and eat it in low carb tortillas. Very tasty.

i make it nice and easy however, i don't measure, i go by smell and how it looks!

i use spices, like mrs dash garlic and herb (or anything that goes with pork)
plain old mustard (french's)
LC ketchup (either home made or store bought), but you want like 3 times more mustard then ketchup... (so if i had to guess, maybe 3-4TB of mustard and 1ish TB ketchup... or more if you're making the whole big package of pulled pork. just make sure you check the label if you use store bought ketchup, the one i have is 1 carb per tsp). i've also made this one
Linda's Ketchup it was pretty good!
then a few shakes of white wine vinegar (or plain vinegar)... the ketchup mixed with vinegar gives it a nice taste!

The Costco rotisserie chicken is excellent. I never go in there without buying at least one. It's cheaper to buy their already cooked chicken than it is to buy a whole bird and cook it yourself.

Their bagged frozen vegetables are a good deal.

I've had a package of the Kirkland pulled pork sitting in my refrigerator for a week, wondering what to do with it. Thanks for the ideas.

Kirkland frozen turkey burgers
Casual Gourmet Roasted Pepper and Spinach chicken sausages
Aidell's Chicken and Apple Sausages
Kirkland Signature crumbled real bacon bits - excellent in scrambled eggs, thrown into salads and so on
Dofino Sliced Havarti cheese
Trident frozen salmon burgers
Kirkland Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (best price, about $9.99 for 1.5 litre)
Kirkland Balsamic Vinegar
Realemon lemon juice
French's mustard
Kirkland Real Mayonnaise (same as Hellman's/Best Foods, but half the price)
Tribe Hummus Snack Packs (good for packing into work lunches for those on OWL)
NY boneless steaks - excellent price, and high quality
thick-cut boneless pork chops - also very good
cubed, fresh butternut squash in the fall (in produce section)
large container organic grape tomatoes - not just for salads, but good roasted on a cookie sheet in the oven too
Kirkland Wild Alaska sockeye salmon filets (frozen section)
Kirkland Wild Alaska cod filets (frozen section)
fresh mushrooms
fresh 'baby bella' small-size portabella mushrooms
2lb. bag fresh garlic
Wholly Guacamole (best price in town)
1lb. tub Tzatziki Yogurt dip
Skotidakis Jalapeno Yogurt dip
large jar Tassos pitted Kalamata olives
large bag Mariani sliced raw almonds
Kirkland organic chicken stock (comes in a box of 6 x 1 litre tetra paks)
Bear & Wolf brand canned wild Alaska salmon (free of bones and skin)
Nature's Domain Salmon and Sweet potato dog food (really good stuff for your doggie, and grain free)
bag of fresh limes (yes, these are large bags, but I grate limes and lemons into sauces and marinades)
bag of fresh lemons (as above)
Kirkland signature smoked pulled pork (as mentioned by other posters)
Boursin cheese in a three-pak (this stuff's normally very expensive at the regular stores, try melting it on top of grilled pork chops or melting into a pan of sauteed mushrooms for a nice LC 'sauce' for any meat dish)
fresh blueberries (large size package, but they do keep well enough to last)
fresh blackberries (same)
3 pack English cucumber - no peeling, no need to worry about seeds - just slice and eat
bag of mini cucumbers (same as above, but cute mini-sized cukes)
Kirkland frozen chicken tenderloins
Kirkland frozen chicken wing sections
Kirkland fresh chicken thighs (boneless, skinless - packaged in several tear-off pouches, for easy freezing and storing)
Their Kirkland spices are a good deal - coarse black pepper, sea salt, granulated garlic
also - good deals on canned black olives, diced tomatoes, tomato paste etc.
oh, and if you like smoked salmon - over in the deli section there's some nice thin-sliced smoked salmon for an excellent price - try snipping some up into your breakfast eggs on the weekend.
speaking of which - you can get a large jar of capers at Costco for the same price or less than a super tiny jar at the supermarket
Jimmy Dean "All Natural" bulk breakfast sausage in a 3 lb. chub package
bag of fresh red bell peppers
case of Pellegrino water
Starbuck's French Roast beans or San Fransisco Bay brand french roast beans (this brand not available in all areas)
Starbuck's VIA instant coffee - perfect for the office when the cafeteria coffee is terrible

Also - their Kirkland brand men's button down, no-iron dress shirts are truly excellent - very high quality and look like $60 shirts, but cost around $17 at most (yes, I know, not food related, but these *are* good shirts)

Maranatha roasted almond butter - 1/3 the price compared to what you'd pay in health food stores or grocery stores - really good deal.

I know I'm forgetting stuff.

Hope this gives you a good start.
