truly amazing Melissa. Isn't it the most wonderful feeling to make such a change and feel so good too.... And to quit smoking on top of it too. I was a smoker so I can relate to achieving that goal... It's amazing what hard work and dedication can do.

good luck and you look absolutely marvelous..[U]

Melissa, congratulations! This is my first post - I'm on my second week of induction now. I've seen some success stories of men who have lost weight quickly - but few females. Please answer some questions if you don't mind! Aproximately how many carbs did you take in daily? Did you eat veggies or salads? What did you eat at times when you might have been extra hungry or feeling tired? What supplements did you take? How much liquids did you usually drink? I hope you don't mind the detailed questions - having a new baby and doing as well as you did is truly amazing! You look great in your photo - very happy - and I am very happy for you!

Lisa

I had no more than 30 carbs per day for the first 2 weeks and no less than 20. I then went up the carb ladder and stayed around 50 carbs per day for about 4 months (OWL) and then went into maintenance (less than 100 carbs per day currently).

Did you eat veggies or salads?
I ate about 1 salad a day and veggies at least once a day.

What did you eat at times when you might have been extra hungry or feeling tired?
I would have a small bowl of protein and fat (i.e. cooked chicken breast w/melted butter) and that would perk me up even better than sugar ever did.

What supplements did you take?
A multi vitamin, calcium, magnesium, B12, Vit.C, Oil of Oregano & Chromium.
Quote:
How much liquids did you usually drink?
I would drink at least three 8oz glasses of water a day, ice tea, Diet Rite or Sugar Free Kool-aid.

I am very happy for you!

Thank you! That is very kind of you to say, and don't worry about the questions, I don't mind answering.
