Default 1 cup of Lettuce is how much in grs?

I read everywhere in this site and in the DANDR 1 cup of vegetables... 1 cup of lettuce ...1 cup of cabbage etc...
how many grams is 1 cup ???????
I am asking because I was going to make a salad yesterday (cabbage shredded..) and I wanted to weigh them...
I know that 100g of cabbage is around 6g carbs
but I was astonished to find that 100g of cabbage is a very small portion !!!!!
so I need a veggie that has a smaller count....
???

I can't answer your question, but I got a scale at Walmart that weighs in either grams or oz. It's digital and was about $27. I use it all the time.

The back of my bag of precut lettuce says 2 cups is 85 grams, which would make 1 c 42.5 grams.

The USDA website lists how many grams in one cup of lots of foods.
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/
It lists one cup of cos or romaine lettuce as containing 47 grams weighed
