Default Vitamin A

I've tried searching Vitamin A in this Nutrition and Supplement Forum but nothing comes up.

I'm in the market for some Vit A and have discovered some are Beta Carotene.
I'll like to know what to consider or look out for when purchasing Vit A please.

Thank you.

Vitamin A

To be effective Vitamin A must be from FISH LIVER OIL. Do not purchase any vitamin A that does not say from FISH LIVER OIL on the label.

Beta carotene is practically useless as a source of vitamin A as beta carotene converts to active vitamin A at the rate of only 12/1 or even 24/1 in the body.

Man-made vitamin A (same technical name as vitamin A), retinol, will usually say retinyl or retinol palmitate and is toxic in much smaller doses than natural vitamin A from FISH LIVER OIL and has recently been found to accelerate the growth of cancer and tumors.

A good source of vitamin A from FISH LIVER OIL is the NOW brand.

Vitamin A can also be obtained from eating liver.
