Does anyone know where I can find information about low carb and breastfeeding? I especially want to know more about how many calories I should be consuming and what percentages I should be looking at. Right now, I'm averaging about 1400 calories, although I'm not restricting. 60% of that is from fat (which curbs my appetite some), 20% from protein, and 20% from carbs. I'm trying to avoid grains, but allow myself fruit and starchy veggies. I know Dr. Atkins did not recommend the weight loss phases of his plan for pregnant or breastfeeding women. However, I've heard some women are quite successful following OWL while breastfeeding. Any thoughts?
