Default Just bought a LC bar from a chemist in Sydney...

Was in the chemist getting vitamins, saw these low-carb bars on the counter so had a look expecting them to have, like, 30g of carbs like most of them do, was pleasantly surprised to see there was only 2.2g of net carbs. I could only see one flavour there, caramel, but it was really nice, covered in splenda-sweetened chocolate. The bar itself is sweetened with Splenda, and it's reasonably filling for the size. It was Metagenics brand, called a "Keto Bar" and I got it from the pharmacy in the basement food-court area of Australia Square, near Wynyard. Not sure where else it would be available, maybe try chemists as on the bar it says "practitioner only range" whatever that means

You can also get Cherry/Coconut flavour in the Keto bar - this one is just delicious. They remind me of milky way bars with there soft texture, god I wish I was home now so I could grab one and have a coffee .
I have however only been able to find it in one health food store near me. I think they are really only supposed to be sold through nutrionist or the like. I pay $4.50 per bar, what are you paying?

Same, $4.50 per bar - but cheapest I've found for 60g. HOWEVER, bought another one today, it was a caramel one, and this wrapper said it had 5g sugars, not 2.2!!! I checked & double-checked the label I had yesterday so I swear it was 2.2, even worked it out on a calculator to make sure lol, but today's one DEFINITELY had 5g after you subtracted fibre. Maybe the 2.2 is after you subtract sugar alcohols??? Anyhoo, 5g is not so bad

What I mean is, at $4.50 it's the cheapest brand I've found, Atkins etc from GNC are all around the $6-8 mark.

It's my understanding that fibre has already been subtracted from the total carb count on all Australian products so I count the Keto bars as 8.5g carbs per bar (for the cherry/coconut anyway). I think the way they've printed it on the nutritional label makes you think the unabsorbable fibre can be deducted but I'm fairly certain that's not the case.
I'd love to be wrong on this BTW but I've seen several posts on this topic and they all say the same thing.....it's very confusing!
You know what they say...if something's too good to be true it probably is.
PS
My DH used these as a meal replacement (lunch) when he had to go interstate and they knocked him out of Ketosis for a week.
