CRP--- any good measure of inflammation is important IMO. As our goal should be to decrease chronic inflammation. Thru food choices, disease prevention and decrease stress, ie meditation, and reduce cortisol levels.

Got my CRP checked at VA several Summers ago when I had a red rash on my ankles and legs, they thought it might be Lupus. Internet search later told me it was "Golfer's vasculitis" just a type of heat rash.

Was in a fast at that time because my power was out, couldn't open fridge or freezer for 3 days
Anyway the Doc's were amazed at the result. He said, somewhat puzzled "your CRP score is essentially Zero!" They never diagnosed it correctly as heat induced exercise vasculitis though. Unlike the Internet, they can't know everything.

I was at my sleep apnea appointment (to see about getting a sleep study (which I did - and have mild obstruction sleep apnea)), and asked my (PA) doc if I would get CRP tested during my upcoming yearly physical (next month... oct / nov), and he said no, that would only tell me if you bumped your elbow coming in.

I'll go to a private lab if I have to.
