Most people on it are not paying the $1,000/month price tag.

The company also said out-of-pocket costs for Ozempic depend on a patient’s insurance coverage. Patients with private or commercial coverage for Ozempic can access a savings card and pay as little as $25 for a one-month, two-month or three-month supply of the treatment for up to 24 months.

Even if they're not getting the savings card, insurance is covering so much of the cost that many are only paying $25/month.

It seems that insurance only covers it as long as they continue to lose an appropriate amount of weight.

And this mentions a maximum of 24 months of coverage for the drug.

After that 24 months of coverage, then what? ? Pay $1000/month out of pocket to continue using the drug so you don't regain?

Or go off the drug and pack the weight back on in no time, so that insurance will start covering it again?
