Default Gym log for *Laura*

Ok, I started my food journal today. Soooo, I figured I might as well start a gym log. I have been exercising regularly for a little over a month now. It makes such a DIFFERENCE in how I feel about myself....

I have been doing yoga once a week and on the remaining days between 30-60 minutes on the elliptical and then strength training. I was a runner in college, and I had the whole carbo-loading mantra beaten into my head. I am not new to low carb, but have NEVER done low carb combined with exercise. I always switched to the low fat/high carb diet when I was exercising. I am scared (don't know why), but I am going to try....

Hi Laura,

No worries about LCing and exercise!! I'm re-doing induction at the moment, and I find my energy during exercise a little low, but when I'm not on induction I'm ok, I hope you find you have enough energy!!

Today I exercised and I didn't feel like passing out (for some reason I feared I would have NO energy whatsoever without carbs)....I know, I know - it's those old "tapes" playing in my head. I did 30 minutes elliptical and 30 minutes weight training on the circuit, mainly upper body.

Hi Laura. I've felt the same way the past three days (since re-doing induction). It's hard but once your body gets used to less carbs, you'll get your energy level back up. One thing I do is take Atkins Dieter's Advantage 1 hour before working out and it gives me a little energy. I remember when I first started last December, I had the same problem but it worked itself out.

Good luck!
