Default Loving Chocolate Avocado "pudding".

Probably people here know about this already, but I am going to put my specific recipe out there in case there are some who don't know about the greatest LC dessert ever .

1 ripe avocado
Unsweetened cocoa powder to taste
2 tsp of vanilla extract
and then to sweeten it, I use DaVinci's SF vanilla syrup - the kind they make for coffee.

Sometimes I add some heavy cream, sometimes not.

After peeling the avocado, smash it ( the pulp ) all up really well, and put in the fridge for a couple of hours.

When done eating, send me messages about how I just gave you the best LC dessert ever, LOL. Or just send a check.

I love love love avacados......off subject....I used to work with a filipino gal, and she would ALWAYS put sugar on her avacado after she finished lunch....like a desert. She said the best "native" desert is avacado ice and sugar as a shake or smoothie. Weird right? Well she said its weird for her to see me/Americans enjoying it as much as she but with a meal rather than a desert. I donno you just got me thinking and had to share.....I think I will try it when I get my Da Vinci syrups and let you know

I haven't frozen them, but a friend does. I think she scrapes out the fruit and freezes it. I'll check with her & make sure that's what she does.

You almost can't even tell it isn't chocolate pudding. I once made a huge batch for a party at my house, and didn't tell anybody that it was avocado. I don't know if anybody guessed it wasn't really pudding, but for sure, all of it was eaten.

So with this recipe, you actually can't detect the avocado at all?

It depends on how much cocoa you use, but I don't really taste avocado. I happen to like - but not love - avocado, and this is just an awesome dessert.

Avocado by itself is OK, but not great. I like the smooth texture, but not the taste so much. This looks like a fun dessert to fool around with. I don't have any of the vanilla syrup, but I do have the DaVinci Kahlua. I think that might be a good flavor addition.

I may have to try this if I buy more avocados. I've made avocado cheesecake before and that was pretty delicious.
