Default Man, do I need help!

I haven't been doing very well - and my skinniest pants (which I was just barely fitting into anyway) won't button. I'm scared to even step on the scale - and I need to hit a very strict induction hard. I think not coming here every day has been a huge downfall for me, so I'm here to ask you to nag the living heck out of me! My family is too scared of me to do so, LOL

You've done it before. You can do it again. It's white-knuckle time. Eat clean and get the carbs out of your system. Keep your eye on the prize -- and that is that this will get easier the longer you keep this up. You can be back in the swing of things in no time.

You are back here asking for help. That is a good sign. I had a perfect track record for undoing everything I'd accomplished with a diet before I'd even try to get back on the LC horse. You are far from that. Stay active here and we'll do our best to help pump you up. You can do this!

Stop right now, and get back on track!
Try a new recipe for supper tomorrow, make some coconut bark or something everyone is talking about. Go shopping and get all the good stuff, and clean out any bad stuff that has accumulated in your cupboards right now!

LOL - and haven't I done just a FANTASTIC job of keeping up? This is the first time I've checked in since I posted that! Well, here's to hopping on the board band-wagon again, since I really do miss you all. I recently took a two week "vacation" from low carb while on a trip to France and Italy. (sorry to all the die hards, but it is really, REALLY hard to eat in Europe, especially on a school trip with pre-ordered food, and not find yourself confronted with a lot of croissants and pasta. Anyway, it was worth it because they were so good and there is nothing over here that tastes enough like it to tempt me to cheat now that I'm back). I doubt it affected my weight much (for the record, I threw out my scale again months ago since it makes me crazy), but it sure did affect my GUT. I've been back for nearly three weeks now and still not completely settled down. Looking forward to catching up and meeting the newbies!!

Hi 2thin!
Are your stats correct? 'Cause you've almost lost 100 pounds!!! That is incredible! FOCUS on THAT!!!
THINK every day about where you want to be (not where you are) ...

You CAN do it- you ARE doing it!!!

PS. I TOTALLY get the European/school pre-ordered thing...

I teach at a French school and LITERALLY every Friday, there is a BAKE SALE of authentic French pastries and breads one MUST walk past to exit the building!

I was 8 months straight on HFLC- then, I decided to eat some bread.

BAD IDEA!!!

Bread is my Gateway Carb.

I'm fully back on track.

Eyes on a number for summer.

I wish you focus and strength and success!!!

Best,
Jammie

Thanks, Jammie! My stats are probably close. I haven't weighed for quite some time, but the fit of my clothes is about the same. So I'm down "about" 100 with another 50 to go. But it has been a LONG time since I've lost anything - probably about a year - since I haven't been working at it. I don't feel TOO bad about that - in the past (before Atkins) I'd lose and then gain it all back and have to start all over - so a holding pattern is a big improvement.
