Default Buddies Please

Hi!

I am new to this site and I can use all the help I can get. Would anyone like to be my buddy. Health wise I am really feeling like crap these days and I need motivation. Someone to help me stay on track. People who can relate to how difficult it is to make these changes in your eating habits.

Thanks for any and all help.

Karen

Karen, I noticed our stats and plans are almost identical.

What is your hardest part of the program? Mine is work, I tend (tend, yeah that's an understatement) to eat when I'm stressed.

Hi Roberta,

Oh yes, I tend to eat when I am stressed too. I have also stopped smoking in the last year and I still think there are times when I would be smoking that I am eating instead. I am hoping that we will be able to help each other to stay focused.

Good Luck

Karen

I agree.

I looked at your journal today, and have a question, are you eating enough? The first few days or so, you are going to be ravanous. That's OK, after a bit your appetite drops down. So enjoy.

Do you like mushrooms? They're very low carb.

Hi Roberta,

I did not know that about mushrooms. I do like them however and had them for lunch again today with chicken. I think that I am eating enough except I am getting really tired of salads already. I need to find other things. Thanks for the info about the mushrooms.

Here's the address to Calorie King. It's a free website that lists almost
every food ever invented, and most of the fast food restraunts.
I uses quite a bit, and it really helps.

sorry, I haven't figured out how to link things onto this site yet.

Hi there!!
I was just surfing the forum and ran across your posts,,,thought I would drop by to offer some support. I have been on Atkins since June of last year,,have lost quite a bit but had a lengthy stall,,,,,
and that does happen,,so I didnt stress about it cause I feel great and lost a lot of inches.
I eat a lot of vegetables,,,broccoli and cheese,,cauliflower,,,green beans,,,remember,,subtract your fiber grams from your carbs,,you can have more that way.
Have you ever visited fitday.com? You can add all that you eat for the day and it divides it for you into protein fats carbs and calories. If you dont eat enough calories you will not lose as well either,,,,,,,,check it out!!
It gets easier..hang int here,,,,,you can do this,,and you will be so glad you did!!!

C Ya lighter

Hi Ladies.....its always nice to have a buddy, to share the successes, but more importantly to pick you up when you get down and to offer encouragement and support. Without this forum, I don't think I would have stuck around as long as I have. Karen.....sry to hear you aren't feeling well. Is it because of the low carbing?
