Default Help with: The Guilt Free Chocolate & Banana Pancake

Hi All,

I'm kinda new here, so pls bare with me... I am looking to try the "The Guilt Free Chocolate & Banana Pancake" (recovering choc-o-holic), but the recipe is kinda vague.

http://www.lowcarb.ca/recipes/breakfast114.html

How big a "package" of splenda do I need?
How much is "half a package" of oatmeal?

I know these sound like dumb questions, but my gf and I still haven't quite mastered the art of "cooking with lurve (not a recipe)" .

= )

Thanks (in advance)...

Chris

Hi Chris!

I have to apologize to you for that recipe. It was posted in that section when the forum was quite young and members could post their own recipes. Now the forum is moderated, and only recipes with carb counts and accurate instructions make it into that area.

Don't be disappointed though. I looked at the recipe and it is way too carby. It would not be allowed on induction, or barely even on OWL. Maintenance is a possibility!

Stick with the eggy/cheesey/meaty recipes for breakfast, The pork rind French Toast is really good, and so are the Egg Mock Muffins.

Default Too good to be true...

D'oh!

= )

I thought that one sounded way too good to be true! (*but my desperate little tummy convinced my skeptical mind that: It's on the site - so it must be good!*)

Thanks for the other suggestions... We (my gf and I) have actually done this (Atkins) before and done quite well - but very quickly tired of bacon and eggs every day! (To the point of being unable to face bacon and eggs for some months after leaving the diet). This time, we're going to try to have as diverse a diet as possible from the outset to avoid a repeat...

Thanks for answering so quickly. No doubt you will hear from me again (next time I have a wacky question that needs answering!).
