Default Congratulations Karen!

Just wanted to say congratulations to Karen with regard to the sale of 'The Low Carb Gourmet' in the UK.

I was in my local supermarket, Waitrose, this evening, and I happened to notice a paperback version of the book on the shelves. What a surprise! How fantastic to see it on sale over here! Up until now, it has only been available from Amazon, so it's really wonderful to see that it's become a mainstream item here - I shall certainly be recommending it to everyone.

Thanks Demi! It's been translated into UK measurements too.

Default I just got your book (Low-Carb Gourmet) & I LOVE it!

The first thing I do when I get a new cookbook is go through it and bookmark all the recipes I would like to try - there are so many bookmarks in your book that it won't close properly! I'm having a hard time deciding what to try first.

I'm curious -you mention that you frequent a store that has a "great selection of very fresh nuts and seeds" - which store would that be?

Thanks.

Either Capers, or the Gourmet Warehouse, on the southeast corner on Hastings at Clark.

I love Caper's - when we visit Vancouver I always visit both of them - they're real Aladdin's caves!

Thanks, Karen.

It's so easy to just keep going to Safeway, but I'm going to start stopping off at Caper's now. I've also been meaning to check out The Gourmet Warehouse ever since I read about it in The Georgia Straight - I think I'm a little afraid though - it looks like the kind of place where you could completely lose control and spend a fortune.

Lynn

PS: I've decided to make "Simple Chicken And Coconut Milk Curry" first.

Hey Karen
Do you have cookbooks that aren't heavy on seafood?

I would love to get one of yours next time I purchase a cookbook if so, but I just do not enjoy seafood...I wish I did.

O
Karen I guess the whole fish house thing with the seafood picture on the front cover made me assume it was a seafood cookbook.
Thank you

Karen, when are you out of town? Better, when are you IN town over the next couple of months?

MousesMom and I want to carpool over to the big city via boat and get your autograph on a few cookbooks you haven't yet signed ...

Ta!

February, March, April, and probably most of the rest of the year.

Beauty! We'll work on sometime in February, then. We're hoping we can catch you IN at the FishHouse on some weekend (what with ferries and all) or, failing that, possibly a Monday....

Mondays are super busy for me. Pilates, Shiatsu, cold laser therapy for one of the dogs...

Saturday day would be ideal.
