Default Hey, Judy!

we are allowed beans in phase I. Many beans are now available as flours

Judy, I got this from and earlier thread. Can you elaborate on this for those of us who have never heard of bean flours. Where can we get them, what brands, any recipies?

In the health food stores, I've seen garbanzo bean flour.
I think that cnmLisa has made a yummy chocolate cake thingy with black bean flour....I'll try to find you that thread.

On another low carb forum under the South Beach diet, they have a huge thread entirely devoted to recipes for bean flours. I'll pm you a link when I find it.

The thing is that this is a slippery slope for someone like me who has been a big flour abuser as part of my food history. So even though this is technically a legal food on all phases of SBD, I'd be very careful eating it as it is flour and that does change how quickly we digest it.

PORTION CONTROL IS KEY!!!
