Hmmm. Can you give us more details? Could you post your menu for a day or two?

It's common to gain water weight during the last week or so of your cycle, but it usually goes away once your period starts.

Default Hang in there!

I could be wrong as I am only on day 2 , but it could be the breakfast bars ( I noticed a lot of them are loaded) , or maybe the salads are too big ( I know it sounds bad)...How about water? How much are you drinking of it? You may want to check to see if you have hit Ketosis....Hang in there I bet you just need to do some minor adjustments.

Just wanted to give you a quick reply. You do gain a few pounds with your cycle so wait till it's over and then weight your self again. It should go away. Give it a couple weeks and it if you still look like your gaining then there is a possiblity that this may not be the route for you to take. I read a great book about low carb/high protien diets and the guy did a study on women and found that some women actually gained weight instead of lost it. Instead he recommened counting calories, still low carb but watch your calorie intake as well, you may be calorie sensitive.

Hi! Hope things are looking better for you.

Those breakfast bars probably did it, whatever they are.

Also, don't keep checking yourself for ketosis, unless you don't mind wasting money on the sticks. It goes up and down because your water balance goes up and down. Positive is positive, no matter what the exact shade - kinda like a pregnancy test. More purple isn't necessarily better - it means you're not drinking enough water.

Best of luck!

Smile Keep with it!

Hi,
I'd have to agree with the above responses. What kind of cereal bars are they? What is the carb count? During induction i stayed with the strict guidelines of chicken, fish, eggs, salads & cheese/cream/butter. I have lost 10 pounds thus far. YOU can DO it, just watch the carbs....there's ALOT of hidden sugar in some products. Try drinking alot of water and stick to the rules of induction and the weight will melt away. It's working for me and i had 4 kids!!

Hi Amy

Hope that you are having a good day, i am new to this WOE and am learning all about it - my tips so far would be to make sure you are drinking enough water (over 2.5 litres a day) and log onto Fitday.com - it is really helpful of keeping track of the amount of carbs/protein/fat that you are eating.

The ideal ration for induction is 5% carbs, 65% fat and 30% fat.

Fingers crossed for a big whoooosssshhhhhh of weight-loss!!!!

Lindy
