Default Could I have lost this much weight??

Hello gang,

When I started Atkins I said I was not going to use a scale and weigh myself as I don't want to be discouraged by a scale. So when I started the diet, I was around 355. I have been on the diet for about a month and I weighed myself at the doctors today and I was 328 I mean could I have really lost 27 lbs in a month? I have stayed on induction and I don't plan on coming off of it. I have to say that I am pretty stoked.

Definitely possible. I lost a similar amount of weight and stated off at 342-ish. This will likely level off, go the other way or stay the same for a while (covered all my bases I think ) - If you keep doing this long enough you might get to the goal you seek; Weightloss, Health or both

My P.L.A.N tracking once a week for 18 months or so...

Thanks for replying. If I got under 300 I would be happy. My goal is 250, but I don't think I will ever be under 250. I hovered around 220-230 in my 20's, so chances are, I will never get under that. Who knows. Congrats on you weight loss.

Yes, the more you have to lose the faster it comes off. Now the last 10 is a whole another story -- at least it's been for me. Stuck at 180 and trying to get lower. At this stage it's way easier to go UP than Down

HUGE Congrats on your terrific weight loss!

I agree totally with Mike, at least that's been my experience... I lost a goodly amount the first month (around 30-35 lbs) staying 100% OP. I was blessed with the ability to lose about 10 lbs a month after that... sure some months not as much, other months a little more... weight loss is not linear. And of course, the closer I got to goal, the slower the weight loss happened...

Wishing every one continued successes on your journeys to better HEALTH!

Thanks everybody, I am totally excited. My cloths still are not fitting yet, but I have noticed a bit of loosening in my pants. I am guessing next month, I will see some changes. I actually love this diet. I wish I would have done it sooner.

Congratulations and great job!! And yes, I think it's for real - you probably have an advantage as a guy. My husband can lose amounts I can only dream of in one month ;-) Keep it going - but DON'T get discouraged if it slows down - you are already way ahead of the game!
