That sounds strangely familiar! I would lose a few pounds, get my BG lower, and I'd find myself rationalizing the next off-plan food, amount, or time of eating (all of which I have to pay attention to).
I would especially be jealous of my husband's ability to eat just about anything he wants. Yesterday we ate at our favorite little diner (fave because I can get a tasty low-carb meal there). Husband had a sandwich and soup - the sandwich looked lovely. But for what may be the first time, I didn't feel badly about the difference in our foods. I was able to say later, "That sandwich looked good," with no overtones of "wish I could have one."
