Rather mindlessly ate a few hash browns yesterday. Got right back to business, though. I wasn't hungry again until early evening, had pork rinds and guacamole as a snack, then made a late night dinner of cream of cauliflower soup.

The mission: Consistency/ketogenic eating
The rules: Eat less than 25 net carbs per day and less than 15 net carbs at any one meal.
Other parameters: I will give myself up to 10 passes/exceptions throughout the 90 day period, but they cannot be used on consecutive days. These are not free-for-all days, but an allowance to take into account that perfection is not required.

Notes:
The difference between a controlled, planned meal off plan and a day off plan is that the meal will bump me over my 25 net carb maximum, but it will only be one meal and it will fairly LC. The day off plan will be a day I lose control. Probably the "head hunger" taking over. I call those days a "blip." I expect blips to happen, but I am only allowing myself six of them for the 90-day period. It might only involve one meal, or maybe more as the carb monster will try to take over! I am to default right away to my LC woe...hopefully the same day. I am thankful that has happened on the two blips so far. I am also to report here that I am again on plan.

hi I have been absent since Thursday
Thursday small lapse in commitment. I tried a low carb bread recipe and tried a slice after supper. but no over eating.
Friday... good day on point with plan and 90 day goal.
Saturday drove 4 hours to wish my 93 yr old Mom Happy Birthday, went out for dinner ..low carb out the window
Sunday back on point.The evening is approaching. I am home and comfortable so will have no snacks before or after dinner I am fully committed.

Only LC sanctioned pizza, no other.
Goof ups allowed: 3, but not more than 2 pcs.
zero goofs left.

Would like to add on:
2 goofs used
1 T flax every morning. 10 misses allowed.
8 misses left

Adding on 1 serving of lc vegies a day. Minimum.
1 goofs used
For next 60 days, allowing 4 goofs.

We got some sushi yesterday. Rice in a controlled portion doesn't bother me or send me into a craving tailspin; in fact, I find sushi to be a really filling meal.

Yesterday Ate within reason, but did not track. I more than likely exceeded 25 net carbs, but not by too much. I will burn a pass for it since I don't know for sure.

I got my lab results today at my annual checkup. The doctor was not happy. My LDL went from 57 last year to 170 this time. The Feldman Protocol didn't seem to work as advertised this time around. I'll post more about this in my journal later. The doctor wants me to return for more labs in 3 months. She didn't mention statins today, but if I don't get the LDL headed in the right direction I'm sure the topic of statins will come up again at the next visit. I will examine what I was doing last year and may need to tweak my diet some. I'll adjust the parameters of this challenge if need be.
