I compare the Native Americans to the canary that is brought into coal mines. A dead canary warns the miners of carbon monoxide gas and they will not enter the cave. If we observe a culture that thrives on this kind of diet, we have to remember that they are human beings and what affects them negatively will in turn affect us the same way. |
