Default Success after Atkins?

Around 10 years ago I learned about the Atkins diet and initially lost a lot of weight. While I haven't always followed it to the letter since that time, I have always eaten low carb for the most part. Despite this my weight has been slowly creeping up. This past January I decided to get strict with Atkins and try to lose again, but after 2 months I had lost nothing. And to make matters worse I felt terrible the whole time. I usually felt good while following Atkins, but not this time. So, since then I've been very confused about what to do because Atkins was the only thing that seemed to help me, but now it's no longer working. In my search for answers I recently read all 3 of the Schwarzbein books and I am very excited about what I've read, and I am really looking forward to following this plan.

My question is this...has anyone had success with this plan after eating very low carb for a long time? Her books include success stories from people who have been eating low fat and low calorie, but not low carb. She does discuss that eating too low carb isn't good, but she doesn't have any information or stories of people who have had success with her plan after eating very low carb. Has anyone here had success after eating very low carb? TIA!

Well, I am now trying out Schwarzbein after doing Barry Groves' plan and generally sticking to about 70g of carbs a day. I managed to lose weight on that plan and am now more or less where I want to be.

I am trying out SPII to deal with a few other issues which get in the way of maintenance - stress, caffeine and beer! - in the hope that I won't put 10lbs back on again like I did over last Xmas.

Let's all give this one a proper try!

I am tired, but I had better energy today and no sugar lows like after some LC meals with - for me - too few carbs in.

I'll keep you posted on how I'm doing if you're interested, or we could just visit each other's journals?

Of course, RaineyJ, you don't have a journal yet, but you could just open one, or just keep checking this thread here for the time being?
