Default Got a copy of some oooold test results...

...and they confirm what I had suspected all along, but was never able to get tested (due to my having corrected PCOS via diet & weight loss before I knew what it was and able to test). I did have PCOS.

Today on a whim I decided to request a copy of my lab work from awhile ago and it really wasn't good. I was 16 at the time. I am unsure of what my weight was but it must have been at least 250.

My FH level was 6.5, and my LH level was 11.4. That is a FH:LH ratio of 1:2, characteristic of PCOS. Non-PCOS women have a FH:LH ratio much closer to 1. Other abnormalities show an elevated DHA (which is the result of the previous hormones, it was elevated ~ 6.2).
My glucose was 127. I recall having this test done in the morning, and knowing me I likely hadn't eaten (since I never ate in the morning before doing LC). If that was my fasting glucose, then I was on the cusp of diabetes. I have no way to verify or not if that level was fasting but if it is I was in some serious trouble.

By the way more recent tests show a non-PCOS ratio between FH:LH (although I should note that the absolute level of both hormones were depressed to a below normal level due to the rapid weight loss). My fasting glucose is usually hovering at 70 (almost hypoglycemic if anything at all).
