There used to be a way to search on new posts which left out journals. Am I missing it, or does it no longer exist?

It's still there. Just go to "Quick Links" on the green menu bar above the posts, and it's the 4th link down.

That's what I thought.. its gone. My green bar contains the following:
User CP FAQ Members Calendar Search New Posts Mark Forums Read Open Buddy List Gallery My P.L.A.N. Log Out

Ahh.. its there on Firefox but not on IE11.

I was just going to reply that it might be a browser issue .
In the past, other members have found that logging out, clearing cookies, then logging back in solves the problem
