Now I drink homemade kefir every morning and before bed. He may be wrong about people with dawn phenomenon or type II diabetics. High FBS may persist, or even rise all morning or until some food is consumed.

I tried skipping breakfast but my bg spiked big time by noon. I was also horribly hungry. So I got smart & started eating breakfast - eggs, eggs & sardines, eggs & salmon, eggs & bacon, eggs & leftover meat - I like eggs!

As a result my bg is way better, I eat only 2 meals & fast from mid-afternoon to breakfast. Still get hungry sometimes in the evening, but it's usually just in my head, not real hunger. If I decide it's real hunger I eat a small meal.

I don't trust any "expert" who say his way is the only way.

I got an ice cream machine that only needs the bowl to be frozen. Then you put in your ingredients & crank like hell (like a salad spinner). It doesn't make very much - about a pint, may 1 1/2 pints - but it's very good. I've also found low carb freezer ice cream recipes. You put it in the freezer & mix it up every so often. I haven't tried any of those yet.

The brand of ice cream machine I got is price - original price was $50. I got it for 1/2 price at a sale. Can't think of the brand name. If you really want it, I'll go hunt it up. I think I remember where I stored it.
