Smile newbie too!

I've tried the low carb diet and know it works. I needed some motivation to get going again and then my husband said he wanted to try it too..... great, I'll start tomorrow, I thought and headed out to the store to get some "staples" eagerly anticipating tomorrow to come..... except when my husband came home from work he brought chips, cheeze spread and beer!!!! UGH!!! I'm not going to get much help from him, so I thought I better find some support elsewhere. I need to lose 40 pounds and I am an ice cream addict, so it's going to be tough!! HELP!!!

This is the best low-carb forum out there with a great deal of information and motivation to help you make LC a WOL.
Just take it one day at a time , and before you know it time will fly.

Hubby might change tactics when he sees the pounds falling off you. It is hard ...er ... when someone close is not LCing. All the more reason for you to visit us and hang in with us here.

Tons of information, inspiration and right company. A journal might help keep a better track of how you are doing.

You will find plenty to keep you motivated.
