Hi Marty!

I use NitroTech (20g per scoop, or 3P, superb delivery mechanism, use it after workouts), Supreme Whey by Dymatize Nutrition (40g per scoop, or 4P), and Unsweetened Whey by Interactive (23g per scoop, or 3P, for cooking as Daousts suggest). I stay away from soy, because it is not a complete protein (lacks methionine) and because it can exacerbate my hypothyroidism, something I am not willing to risk.

How are you doing so far? do you have a journal on this forum for me to come and chat with you? we have a superb zone support thread on lowcarbfriends.com challenges board, would you like to join us there? the majority of folks there are in your weight range, so you will feel good there, besides they are just fabulous people. we post our menus daily there, a motherload of ideas, and discuss other zone issues, and just life

hugs,
Mila

Marty, just FYI, you should have a look through this thread and more specifically this post , as well as this web page . As far as complete protein goes, soy gets the highest score (1.0) and acutally outperforms whey when it comes to the important amino acids (BCAA's, glutamine and Arginine).

Marty, I use both soy and whey. I have whey right now as my main protien powder, my last batch was soy. Since reading Trainerdan's book I have decided to use whey for my post workout shake and soy for my evening shake. Whey empties faster getting the much needed nutrients to your muscles, soy takes longer and is a good choice in the evening when you want to be able to feed your muscles overnight.
