Default Proof this works for diabetics!

My husband just got his A1C results....5.7! He is an insulin dependent type 2 diabetic. Using our own version of low-carb he I keep his weight and blood sugar under excellent control. That is a great A1C reading for a NON diabetic!

Congratulations on the A1C...

I have a question:

In the past 90 days, how many times did he have a hypo? (BG readings below 70)

Not often. His bgls are usually between 85 and 100 fasting in the morning. He takes lantus twice a day, 20 units am and 17 units pm. and 1500mg metformin daily. He is type 2 and has been insulin dependent for ten years. He tests three times a day, before each meal. I plan the meals around his bgl. Occasionaly, if he works in the yard too long without a snack for example, he will go low, but he has been doing this long enough that he pretty much knows how much he has to eat to compensate for exercise.
