Day 85 of 90
Goal of this challenge: Simply to tally how well I do sticking to my diet plan over the next 90 days.
Good days: 48
So-so eating: 23
Off the mark: 14
~~~~~~~~~~
Late snacks: 28
Tuesday: A so-so day (ate a bit too much), plus had a late snack. Wednesday was off the mark (ate way too much), but didn't have anything late. I spent the evening of the 3rd and much of the 4th moving DD#2's possessions from her apartment into a storage unit. It was hot, humid, and miserable -- but we got it done. DD will be moving into a house closer to campus with 3 of her college friends in a few weeks, so I will be doing this again soon.
I received a nice ego boost for all of my efforts. One of DD's college friends commented to her that "Your dad has calves of steel!" That is what all this good eating and regular exercise has turned in to I guess... nice calves. I didn't hear the comment myself. My daughter told me about it later. While it is always nice to receive a complement, even second hand, I was even more happy about the fact that I am now a source of pride for my daughter. I was always embarrassed for myself and my kids that I was the biggest dad around. If I were still the XXXL version of me I wouldn't have been much help on this move. We got a lot done in a short period of time and DD had a chance to gloat to her friends about what her dear old dad has accomplished with this WOE.
