Default Breast fat?

Does anyone know any excercises that can be done at home to reduce breast size? It would be especially nice if I could work on the right side more than the left and even out a little. I want bigger muscles, less fat. Wishful thinking? Or will working those muscles just make them heaver and look even bigger?

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as spot reducing, meeker. You can, however, reduce size by lowering body fat. You will lose fat everywhere, not just in one particular place. I'm sure one of our resident experts will be along shortly with some good examples of exercises you can do for the muscles in questions.

Cheers,
Nat

I was at a gym with a friend and she said to me "I don't do that machine because I don't want my boobs to shrink." So I thought her trainer had said something to her about it. I'm planning on joining once I can afford it, but not yet.

Default My Trainer says...

I work out twice a week with a trainer and to reduce my breast which was a specific request of mine we do Chest presses with free weights once a week. I lay on a weight bench and push up the weight bar with various weights on it.

I do a series of reps as follows 12 reps w/ 5 pounds, 10 reps w/7.5 pounds, 8 reps w/10 pounds, 6 reps w/15 pounds and finally again 12 reps w/7.5 pounds - I think thats the weight of each I'm pretty sure.

It took me 9 weeks and daily cardio before I started to see a difference and its still very slow. I went from a tight bra of 40DD to a loose 40D and I'm going down to a 38D.

I hope my tidbit of info helps since I know that the weight of breasts is not always pleasant. Making them go away feels good.

Shannon

As Nat said, you can't spot reduce. Fat loss occurs over the whole body and is highly individual. Every person deposits and loses fat on their body differently.

Now, to work those muscles and firm up the appearance of that area, you can use:

Chest Press (free weight or machine)
Pectoral flyes (free weight or machine a.ka. "pec deck")
Pullovers (free weight, or if you can find it, the Nautilus machine version)

The set rep scheme that has been mentioned (12/10/8/6/12) is good ... it is used in Body For Life.
