Default Shirataki Hot Cereal

Since finding out Shirataki Noodles are approved for use on Induction I just had to experiment. Cottage and ricotta cheeses stall me so I've had to try to find hot cereal recipes without them (not that their legal for induction anyway). The result was the best low carb hot cereal I've tried to date. This makes one huge servings or two smaller ones. I ate the whole thing as I was pretty hungry after not feeling well the previous day and only eating 800 calories.

The base:
1 jumbo egg
1 bag shirataki noodles (any shape)
2 T whey protein powder
2 T ground flax seed
1/2 C unsweetened vanilla almond milk
pinch of salt
few drops of liquid sucralose

Flavorings: you can use whatever but I used Capella flavor drops in Pecan Praline, cinnamon and a tiny splash of maple flavoring

Dump everything into a blender, blend a few seconds, pour into a microwave safe bowl. Nuke on high for a minute and a half. Stir. Nuke for another minute and a half. Stir again and it's ready to eat.

I mixed in a T of butter and drizzled T of cream on top as well. Indulgent!

Thanks for posting this recipe! It sounds delish! I really love the shirataki noodles, and stock up on them when I find them - 'cause they disappear fast around here!

I've also been looking for ways to incorporate flaxmeal into my breakfasts, so this fits the bill perfectly for me! I can't wait to try this recipe out.
