Default pulled a muscle... oh noes!

i've been lifting weights for a few months and i haven't been pushing myself too hard... just enough where i was slightly increasing my weight here and there. i haven't had many problems until...

i pulled a groin muscle tonight. damn. it hurt. the pain is under control and i think it may be just slightly pulled, but what can i do to avoid doing this again and what can i do to minimize any pain now?

other than that, thank god for ibuprofen.
